Roxana Cremene’s civil litigation practice focuses primarily on construction litigation. She represents owners, developers, general contractors, and trade subcontractors on large scale private developments, both commercial and residential, as well as public works projects, in a wide variety of matters, from bidding and pre-construction to the final resolution of claims and disputes. Ms. Cremene's experience includes litigation and arbitration of claims involving disputed scope of work, unforeseen conditions, delay, disruption, and acceleration, liquidated damages, mechanics' liens and stop notices, payment and performance bond claims, bid protests, licensing issues, and construction defects.
Prior to joining Miller Morton, Ms. Cremene served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte and for the Honorable Edward J. Davila in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. While in law school, Ms. Cremene worked as a bar certified law student for the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center, representing indigent clients in consumer law matters. Her prior experience also includes interning for the Santa Clara County Office of the District Attorney.
Before starting her legal career, Ms. Cremene worked in the construction industry and in residential property management. She is fluent in Spanish and Romanian.
